American actress Lauren Ambrose was born on February 20, 1978. For her leading performance as Claire Fisher in the HBO drama series Six Feet Under (2001–2005), Ambrose gained widespread recognition and critical praise. She was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards and won two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for the role. She is well-known for her roles as Dorothy Turner in the Apple TV+ psychological horror television series Servant (2019–2023), Jilly Kitzinger in the BBC One science fiction television series Torchwood: Miracle Day (2011), and the grown-up Vanessa “Van” Palmer in the Showtime drama thriller television series Yellowjackets (2023–present).
